Melania Trump made remarks at a luncheon on Wednesday while receiving the Palm Beach Atlantic University's “Women of Distinction” award saying that it was a "great honor to serve the people of this incredible country."
WPTV reported that there were about 550 attendees at the event where the first lady addressed her anti-cyberbullying and anti-drug abuse initiative
Trump also went on to speak about the opioid crisis in America that affects so many children in this country, saying that drug overdose deaths have dropped by over four percent for the first time in 20 years.
The university, which has a student body of roughly 2,500 students said, according to WPTV, that it was honored to recognize the first lady for her compassion and kindness going on to call her a worldwide role model.
