Here's What Meghan and Harry Demand Before They'll Move Back to the US
According to a report in The Daily Mail, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to move to the United States, but only after President Donald Trump is no longer in office.
“It’s by no means an immediate thing but there is a long-term plan to end up back in the US with a second home in Canada, where they will also spent a great deal of time,” the Daily Mail’s source close to the couple said.
‘The couple used the words North America in their statement about where they planned to live deliberately. It doesn’t pin them down to any one place.”
This news comes on the heels of Markle and her royal husband’s announcement that they will no longer be “senior” members of the royal family that Harry was born into.
The pair announced their plans on Instagram saying, “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.
“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.”
Prior to her whirlwind romance with the red-headed prince, Markle joined many of her Hollywood colleagues in blasting the president, calling him “divisive” and “misogynistic.” Markle also rallied votes for his political rival Hillary Clinton in 2016 and promised to move to Canada if the president won.
